Sign up NOW for the Grade 5 Theory Booster Day at CYM
This will be a booster, crammer day for musicians who are preparing for the ABRSM Grade 5 Theory qualification.
The requirements of each question that is usually set will be examined in detail with a strategy for tackling each one.
A mock examination will be devised to give each participant an idea of what will be involved
Those who attend need to bring pencils, erasers and any questions about aspects of the examination that are causing them concern.
At the end of that day, it is envisaged that those who have attended will be equipped to do well when they sit the examination’.

CYM has two Folk Ensembles, run in partnership with the English Folk Dance and Song Society and supported by the The Brook Trust, are open to both CYM students and to school-aged students from across London who do not attend the full CYM programme.
There is no need to read music as learning within sessions is by ear.
The ensembles take place on Saturday afternoons, 2.00pm – 3.00pm (for young people aged 11 – 14 years) and 3.15 – 4.15pm (for young people aged 15 – 18 years). The Folk Ensemble for younger students plays at approximately grade 4 – 5 level; the older students play at approximately grade 6 + standard.
They are aimed at young people who play any instrument – strings, wind, guitars, percussion, keyboard, etc. There may also be the opportunity to play a traditional folk instrument as well (Please note that singers are not included at the moment).
There will be 10 sessions per term at a cost of £120 per term.
Please contact CYM for further information and to enrol on 020 7928 3844 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
