In addition to the main Saturday Centre the Centre for Young Musicians organises a range of Holiday Courses, which are open to all of London’s young musicians regardless of attending CYM during term time.

London Schools Symphony Orchestra and the London Youth Wind Band

Senior ensembles for players of Grade 7 standard and above with entry by audition (see separate pages for details).

Junior & Intermediate Courses – Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July 2015 

Open access courses (no audition needed) which offer a stimulating, friendly, and highly enjoyable musical experience for children aged from 6 to 16. The courses are led by specialist tutors working alongside a caring team of pastoral staff and are designed to provide a progressive musical pathway for children, complimenting their regular term time activities both in and out of school.

The courses culminate in an informal performance open to parents and friends and include ensemble playing, orchestra, singing and creative work. There are special courses for harp and music theatre.

Holiday Course Fees
“Early Bird” fee if booked and paid for by 31st May is £150. Thereafter £200.

Help with Holiday Course Fees
The Centre makes every effort to assist any gifted pupil to attend these courses who has difficulty in meeting the fees themselves.

CYM bursaries
A limited number of bursaries are available from the Centre for Young Musicians for families in receipt of state benefits, subject to a minimum charge per course. For more information please contact the CYM Office.
