The Main CYM Centre
The Main Centre runs on Saturdays (9am – 5pm) during term-time (32 weeks a year) in Morley College, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 (close to Waterloo and the South Bank Centre) and two satellite annexes - Notre Dame High School (three minutes walk from Morley College) and Johanna Primary School (percussion faculty only). Who can apply The Main Centre is open to all children who already play an instrument and are attending school or are in a gap year. Students are offered places at CYM after a successful audition. There is no minimum standard – we will audition pupils at all stages of learning other than absolute beginners. Heads of Department are looking for musical potential and take into account the age, experience and prior access to musical education of the applicant. Anyone wanting to take up an instrument not included in the Taster Course should apply to the appropriate Junior Centre in their borough. Morley College The main Centre and CYM administration is based at Morley College - an adult education college that offers a wide range of other courses that may be of interest to parents and family members. |
